About Help Tech

Our roots lie in the Black Forest.

Our vision reaches out into the world.

Our journey began in the 1970s with a simple question:
"Isn't there another way?"

This curiosity gave rise to a development that has had a lasting impact on our industry: With the first electronic Braille module, we made computers accessible to blind people for the first time. This milestone laid the foundation for modern Braille displays and accessible technologies, opening new doors to information, education, and employment worldwide.

Technology born from real life

Since 1994, we have been developing and manufacturing technologies in our Horb factory with a clear objective: to create solutions that truly work in everyday life. Our guiding principle is: we don't develop for people, but together with them. Some of our employees are blind themselves. Their experiences, their high standards, and their perspective on everyday life have shaped our products from the very beginning.

“Made in Germany” is not just a label for us, it’s a promise. Our braille displays are used worldwide because they excel in everyday use: They enable precise reading, operate reliably for many years, and remain comfortable even with intensive use.

Listen. Understand. Think further.

We listen before we develop. Because we are convinced: Good technology adapts to people – not the other way around.

We have been actively shaping Braille technology for decades.
With myBraille, we are taking the next step.
